1963 Fred Upshaw - Non-stock crankshaft, non-standard type piston, 1/32 over valve lifters, ball bearing fourth main, oversized valves, oversized tailpipe. (note 1)

1968 Norm Eberhardt - Straight through carburetor. (note 12)

1972 Cokey Williams - Non-stock cylinder head. John Frick - reground camshaft. Fred Upshaw - reground camshaft. (note 8)

1974 H. H. Wilson - oversized ports on engine block. (note 2) reground cam (note 11)

1975 Tillman Oblander - illegal carburetor (note 10)

1976 Rich Armstrong - partially obliterated Ford script on camshaft. "Fo" there but "rd" missing. (note 3) Don Englmann, (note 12 and note 13), Jack Collins and Al Rieker - Egge pistons with 2" compression distance - 1/16" over stock. (note 12)

1980 John French - altered intake manifold (note 4)

1981 M. R. "Dutch" Watters - altered carburetor throttle shaft. (note 5) Rudy Uhlich - altered carburetor bore. (note 6)

1983 Fred Upshaw - carburetor plate debate. (note 9)

1987 Richard "Nick" Nicholas altered (internally braced) cylinder head. (note 7)

2009 Garrett Green - Timken bearings in rear axle

2010 Mike Robison - Carburetor passed .710" gauge

2011 Mike Stormo - Undersized combustion chamber
