Howdy Model T'ers,

Model T Racing has become my favorite thing to do.  I like it so much that I've been dreaming about driving my Model T.  So far I've been dreaming nothing but heart pounding action, of course this translates in to losing the race.  Maybe I'll dream the way to win.  (Fat chance Tony, where did you dream that up?)

I hope that you guys find the time to get the chores caught up so that you will have plenty of time to mess around during the race. 

Once again, the tentative race schedule for this year.

Monday June 17: Model T Inspection in Helena at the Holiday Inn Express.  Time:  1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Tuesday June 19: Race south from Helena past Butte to Whitehall and return to Helena ....162 miles.  View the Great American Race cars.

Wednesday June 18: Race west from Helena to Rock Creek return to Helena ........................... 180 miles.  

Thursday June 20: Race west from Helena by Garrison to Rocker, get gas and continue past Butte to Helena to finish ............................160 miles.

Total miles approximately ........................502 miles.

The headquarters motel for lodging, inspection & drivers meetings will be the Holiday Inn Express in Helena.  It's located just west of I-15 on the Capital Exit. 

MOTEL:  Reserve before May 26, by calling 406-449-4000.

Single rooms @ $50.00/night and double rooms @ $56.00/night.  Ask for the "Model T rooms" or you might pay a wee bit more. This motel is non-smoking and has a free full line breakfast bar.

RV PARK:  Reserve with Branding Iron Park @ 406-443-9703 or 5998.

This RV park is just a 1/2 mile north of the motel.  It is located on the southwest corner of the I-15 & Cedar Street Exit.

Interstate Batteries - Great American Race (GAR) will be in Helena on Tuesday, June 18th.  100 rare antique race cars and a couple hundred newer cars will be on display. 

So far it looks like we will have 13 racers and five touring.
