Report on the 36th Annual Meeting of the
Montana Cross Country "T" Association
Held on November 9, 1996 at the
Wheat Foundation Building in Great Falls, MT
Seasons Greetings Model T'ers!
The annual meeting of the members was called to order by Tony Cerovski at 10:25 A.M. Seven members were present: Tony Cerovski, Janet Cerovski, George and Bonnie Nickol, Dale Schuler, Jim Halseth, Doug Langel and Simon Nickol.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as read. The treasurer's report was read: We have $790.67 in two checking accounts. All monies will be placed in the Norwest checking account and we will close the Western Federal Savings account.
Comments for improving the race event included: Continue to run 100 mile legs as it is easier for the timers. Tighten your lug nuts. Lunch breaks lasting 1.5 hours are fine, but if everyone is agreeable to flag out sooner then we will. We should wait for those who have a short delay.
We have 70 brass key fobs to sell to members at our cost of $3.00 each. These are durable stamped oval plates 0.040" thick, 1 7/8" long and 1" wide. They also make nice dash plates and gifts.
We discussed purchacing very nice belt buckles for the club. Bonnie will visit with Montana Silversmith and check their product out. Please draw up a sketch for use on the belt buckle and send it to us. It is likely that we may have belt buckles for sale at the '97 race. (Another wonderful Gift.)
There were no proposed changes to the rules. However, we had a discussion on safety hubs. Doug will review the Stoltz drawings and photos and make a recommendation to the club at the '97 race.
Our Montana Cross Country T Association will become a Chapter of the Model T Ford Club of America in January, 1997. As Vice president, Simon must join MTFCA before we send the materials in. The MTFCA writes an informative magazine called "The VINTAGE FORD". It is packed with good stories, for sale ads and parts needed. Review the attached flier.
Send me your photos of the '96 race. Be sure you and your car are in them. The Model T Ford Club of America wants to run a story on the "Montana 500" in the Vintage Ford Magazine soon.
The updated "BY LAWS" were signed by the directors present.
A special thank you to all who participate and help to make Model T racing possible and the most fun thing to do on the planet.
Elections were held for officers and directors. Tony Cerovski was re-elected President, Simon Nickol is Vice President and Janet was re-elected as Secretary-Treasurer. George Nickol, Doug Langel and Ray Sanders were elected as directors until 1999.

The race route will consist of 2-lane roads with moderate hills and flat land runs. We will not race on any interstate highway during this event.
The first day of driving will be a trip north and west to Fort Benton and back.
The second day may be a loop to Grassrange, Roundup, Harlowton and back to Lewistown.
The third day may be a loop North past Hilger to Bohemian Corner, South to Grassrange and West back into Lewistown.
